It looks like I'll be in store for a new car here soon after all, thanks to the huge rain storm the other day, and thanks to flood insurance. Wednesday evening, someone knocked on our door and said my car was under water, and they weren't joking. I kick myself in the knee for not grabbing my camera to take a picture, but oh well. The water was up to my seats, so the computer got saturated along with the rest of the electrical stuff, and who knows what got messed up under the hood. Blah blah blah and so on.. I called insurance and had it towed to Greenbrier Volkswagen yesterday, and early this morning they called and said "yeah, you definitely need to call your insurance company for this." I'll find out at the latest Wednesday if my car will be repaired or totaled, but by the way the dealership sounded, I'm thinking totaled. And that means new car for Rachel. Unfortunately John has to bring me to work until then, and his luck I'm working 530am every day. Not to mention 2am on Sunday. God works in mysterious ways though, let me tell you. Since my mom couldn't buy my car I've been trying to figure out how to trade the Jetta in for a different car without getting too screwed with my negative equity. The funny thing is, I hung out with my mom on Wednesday before the rain and everything, and told her I needed to clean the car and just go trade it in no matter what. Little did i know that later that evening the water would clean it out for me [although it smells bad now], and that the water would do enough damage to get my car fixed or help me get a new one. Thank you God!
